Rules
How to play
Each game takes place in a new world. You play Ozo, a Zinie mage and your king, against three computer kingdoms: red, purple and yellow. The last kingdom standing wins.
Choose your world
- Size: Small (about 10 min), Medium (20 min), Large (35 min) or Huge (60 min). Bigger worlds hold more mines, gold and wildlife.
- Type: Continent (one big land and its coasts), Archipelago (islands: your fleet matters) or Pangaea (almost only land).
The King's Shop
- Win crowns 👑 by winning: a game of at least 2 minutes, time held, kingdoms you defeat, victory, and a bonus for the world of the day (once a day).
- The winner takes the loot: if your king falls, you only keep the crowns of the kingdoms you defeated (25 each).
- Spend them on looks for Ozo: colour, headwear, galleon sails, fireball colour. Nothing in the shop makes Ozo stronger.
- For now, crowns are kept in your browser.
Ozo
- He throws fireballs on his own at the nearest enemy, and steps back when they get too close.
- His Health and Strength go down as he fights and walks. When his strength is low, his fireballs get weaker. He gets both back inside one of your camps.
- Ozo is your king: if he dies, you lose the game. When his health drops low, the screen flashes red: bring him back to a camp.
- At sea he travels on his royal galleon. Once you own a port, he can set sail from any shore.
Gold and mines
- Ozo picks up the gold nuggets and chests he finds. Enemies also drop a little gold.
- Gold soon gets scarce. The real source is the mines: find one, then put a tower or a camp within 4 tiles of it. It then brings you 120 gold a minute, until it runs dry.
- The kingdoms want the mines too. A mine held by two sides at once is contested and produces nothing.
Buildings
Right-click anywhere you have explored, then choose Build.
| Building | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Camp | 30 gold | Claims land and heals Ozo and his guards. Upgrades: size, walls, guards, fireball. |
| Tower | 40 gold | Shoots on its own. Click it to throw Greek fire or an arrow storm. |
| Coastal tower | 50 gold | Must touch the water. Shoots enemy ships from afar, and soldiers on the beach. |
| Fort | 60 gold | Claims a lot of land and shoots. Click it for its weapons: arrows, Greek fire, catapult, reinforcements. |
| Port | 45 gold | Must touch the water. Builds fishing boats and war galleys, a lighthouse and a big quay. |
| Palisade / Wall | 2 / 5 gold per tile | Click where it should end. Enemies must break through it. |
Every camp and port keeps a guardian who never leaves his post. If he dies, replace him from the building's panel.
Weapons
Click one of your forts or towers, choose a weapon, then click the target. A red target shows where the blow will land.
- Arrow storm: three waves of arrows on an area.
- Greek fire: the ground burns for 8 seconds.
- Catapult (forts only): a heavy stone, deadly against buildings.
The sea
- Fishing boats bring in gold. Click one, then click the sea to give it a fishing area.
- War galleys shoot enemy ships, soldiers on the beach and coastal buildings. Click a galley, then an enemy to attack it.
- Send a galley onto a shore and it lands 3 sailors. On free land, they found a beachhead (a new camp). On enemy land, they attack.
- The troop ship (level 2 port, 80 gold) carries up to 20 soldiers, boarded at the port 5 at a time (70 gold). Send it to an enemy coast for a real assault. A castle resists swords, and a king near his castle is shielded by his guard.
- The kingdoms have troop ships too. An alert warns you when an enemy ship comes toward your coast: guard your shores with coastal towers and galleys.
The kingdoms
- They leave you alone for the first 3 minutes, then send attack waves. They also fight each other.
- Right-click their land or their soldiers to offer a truce. They accept only if your territory is big enough.
- Double-click Ozo for his orders: a royal guard of up to 10 gold-helmeted guards who never leave him, a secret passage (20 gold, every 2 minutes) that takes him and his royal guard at once to your safest camp, and a spy who finds the nearest enemy king.
- Each kingdom has a king who guards its castle. A kingdom whose king dies or whose castle falls is out of the game.
